Strategic partnerships

RTFA is represented on the Executive Committee of the Flower Association of Queensland Inc (FAQI). The FAQI is Queensland's cut-flower industry peak body which provides coordination, representation and information to its members in order to strengthen the industry.

FAQI's membership includes:

(1) individual growers of traditional flowers, Australian native flowers and Protea, tropical flowers and foliage
(2) regional and commodity grower groups
(3) allied traders

FAQI is also a member of the Qld Farmers Federation (QFF).

The QFF have identified the following key issues for primary producers in Australia.

Industry Development

• Value Chains

• Telecommunications

• Research and Development

• Trade Reform and;

• Market Access

RTFA representation positions it to provide leadership and make a valuable contribution to industry reform through the use of telecommunications and IT to add value and strengthen the industry.
